5 quick SEO tips.

1. Content! Content! Content!   Make sure to have good, content that is both unique and written clearly that will focus on your key wording.

2. Links! Links! Links!  Build a network of quality backlinks using your keyword phrase as the link. Remember the quality of the links matter.  If what you link to is not relevant and you would not follow don’t expect the algorithms to either. Outbound links are also important. The quality of these links often helps in the building of backlinks long term.

3. Be sure you have a unique, keyword focused Title tag on every page of your site. And, if you MUST have the name of your company in it, put it at the end. Unless you are a major brand name that is a household name, your business name will probably get few searches.

4. Fresh content can help improve your rankings. Keep adding content to your pages on a regular basis that is useful. Content freshness adds relevancy to your site in the eyes of the search engines.  If your site content doesn’t change often, your site needs a blog because search spiders like fresh text.  Blog a few times a week with good, fresh content to feed those little crawlers.

5. Know your hosting Neighbors. If you are on a shared server, do a blacklist (http://www.au.sorbs.net/lookup.shtml) check to be sure you’re not on a proxy with a spammer or banned site. Their negative notoriety will affect your rankings. Be aware that by using services that block domain ownership information when you register a domain, Google might see you as a potential spammer.
